With v-pets being so expensive nowadays due to the fact they're either vintage and hard to find, or new, 'high tech' and sought after, regardless usually a pretty penny will be spent on them. My question is, how do you justify spending so much on such an expensive collection of electronics?
Personally I suffer constantly from 'buyer's remorse' with anything I purchase, (and with good reason having such a low paying job), but I wonder if others feel the same and how you justify/deal with it. Usually to make up what I spent, i find things to sell to make up the cash spent, or i take on extra jobs/hours/projects to get paid more. I also budget when and where I can, but it doesn't always stop that nagging feeling in the back of my mind.
Any advice to those of us whom have the voices in our heads that constantly badger us for spending money?

I dont buy a lot a things or own anything. And everything I do collect I catalog. I keep tabs on what it is and how much I payed.
If I know I can resell it at exactly what I payed even years down the road i feel totally fine.

Cataloguing seems a really good idea I might do the same.
I justify it by considering them as an investment but I also make cases for them so I need to get the latest one so I can make something for it
terrible logic I know.

Well, I sometimes certain good things cost a lot of money, but once you bought it and it appears to be good/helpful you somehow forget about the amount of money just because it's worth it.
Tamagotchi's however, DO cost a lot, but I can justify buying one when I find a great deal which is a lot cheaper(probably still expensive) than the original price. Because knowing you have something that you can sell for more money than you bough is a cool thing.
