New Tama Owner. Needs Advice

Hey so i received my first tamagotchi yesterday. Its a P2 and its going great. My interest in tamagotchis brought me to this site and i got three questions.

1. Is there a way to pause a P2?

2. What does the discipline meter have to do with anything?

3. Which is your favorite tama and why? (im asking this to see if i chose wrong for the P2 to be my first tama)

1. There is no gen 2 tamagotchi. Are you talking about the original 90's p2?

2. dicipline is mostly pointless. Though it does help on what tamagotchi you get. as tink said, in the tama-go it helps with poop.

3. My favorite tamagotchis are the, tamagotchi connection v2 and the TMGC+C

V2 is one of my faovrites because it's simple. none of that job school or music stuff. I like an old fashion tamagotchi the way its suppose to be, the v1 is quite boring. I like the shop feature and the new characters it introduced.

Now for the TMGC+C (tamagotchi plus color)

I love it because it's not girly. unlike the other color tamagotchis. its simple. I don't need an ir censor or downloading and such to enjoy the tamagotchi fully.

It has the feel of a simple retro one with a few cute kicks of its own. Even though its japanese its super easy to understand.

1) Gen 2.....? V2 (Connection) you can pause, P2 I don't think so.

2) Depends on the version.

3) Connections and iD L, because they don't require too much attention.

I have a feeling that the OP meant the P2, that's also known as the G2.

With that, I will say that there's no official pause feature, however to "pause" it you can open up the clock and start to change the time but don't actually change it, leave it in the time set mode so the clock is no longer running. To answer the question about discipline, it is just another measure of how well you take care of it. And thirdly, my favorite version is the tamagotchi connection version 2.

Im sorry. I did mean P2. I saw it referenced as a G2 earlier on this site so i figured the G stood for generation. Thank you for your responses and future responses.

When talking about the original 1996-1997 original Tamagotchi models...

P1 & P2 refer to the Japanese domestic models, where P stands for "part".

G1 & G2 refer to export (English-language) models, where G does stand for "generation", but it's not "generation of the character" as we know it now, rather it's "generation of the toy". The use of "generation" in this instance is the same as when talking about Apple products, for example; first generation ipod, second generation ipod, etc.
