Okay..so,I'm 14 years old and I asked for a tamagotchi music star for Christmas. And my dad kept giving me weird looks...now I feel ashamed for asking for a tamagotchi..and my brother kept calling me childish..he thinks he is super cool cause he is getting a violent game for Christmas. he thinks he can mock me..

Nope, I'm 25. Do what you love, even if others don't agree with it. If it brings you happiness, that's all that matters. People will always judge what they don't know or understand, don't let it get to you.
My dad did the same when I was your age and liked Pokemon. He even forbade me to draw Pokemon. I kept up with it, though, and now he doesn't bother me. He even thinks these virtual pets are neat now.
For the record, i also like violent video games, but I also like some cutesy things sometimes, too.

Ah - I see you've already been directed to the existing, active thread on the forums, so i will just close this!
You're never to old for something as harmless as raising a little electronic pet ... better than pretending you're some kind of killer combat soldier (IMHO)...
