from what I saw on the Pokemon Wiki, is that MISSINGNO. (Missing Number) evolves into Kangaskhan. Does that mean MISSINGNO. is something that we don't know? It usually takes form of a ghost, two fossil Pokemon, or a Grovyle as its animated sprite. It's actual form is a L-shaped chunk of fuzz, and is usually found in Pokemon Yellow as a "Glitch Pokemon" taking place in the PokeDex as #000. It was clear that Missingno. was made of 8x8 pixels, and was Kangaskhan's pre-evolution form. My theory is that MissingNo. is actually a Baby Kangaskhan that was never mentioned in the game alone. See how there is only female Kangaskhan? There was no males. MissingNo. could actually be a male, but it was classified as "Genderless". Since MissingNo. evolves into a Kangaskhan, the Kangaskhan it might evolve into could be a male. (Sorry if I'm repeating myself.) Some say that Ditto can clone a Kangaskhan if you breed it with a female, and it might turn out to be a Cloned "Male" Kangaskhan, and Ditto could be the Cloned "Male" Kangaskhan when breeding with the females. The MissingNo. Glitch fixes itself after it evolves into Kangaskhan, which kind of makes the theory that the MissingNo. Glitch could be a Baby Kangaskhan in disguise a little more clear. Some even say that Cubone is Missingno. himself, but in a skull of its mother's head. The mother could have had been a Kangaskhan or a Marowak at that point the Cubone got the skull on its head. Here's one more thing: the baby in the Kangaskhan's pouch could be a Cubone without the skull. The baby might have changed color and height when its mother died, and it wore the same skull on its head.

The question we are asking: What could MissingNo. actually be?

There were to be 190 pokemon.

Kanhaskan is second in the internal index.

And missingno stands for missing number.

Oh, the baby kangaskan is right.

If I remenber, if kangaskahn fainted too much it would die. In the beta.. Here's the theory:

Kangaskhan is Cubone's dead mother and a baby Kangaskhan is a Cubone and that's what skull it wears on its head. There was originally going to be a code for Marowak to evolve into kangaskhan, but at the last minute they put the code in a different spot because they had no time to remove it. Ya know, I wonder why did they remove it? It would've been cool to see that. So MISSIGNO. is the code they put in Cinnibar Island after you talked to the old man in Viridian city and flew there you would encounter it. I seriously wonder why they didn't just make Marowak evolve into Kangaskhan

Sorry if this doesn't help.

Well, it appears in Cinnabar Island, and it is actually a bunch of exhausted Pokemon Data, or L-shaped chunk of fuzz. It triggers your game to freeze up, mostly, and it is a genderless un-named Pokemon...

it was in rby i know that, but yellow gives your chara an ash tray and crack.

it doesn't freeze your game.

It gliches your hall of fame and gives you lots of items.

Missingno. Is the placement Pokemon put in by the developers. It's never meant to be seen, or even be a Pokemon. It's just there because.. Well, they need a placement. It's like Nazotchi, only different.

He's an error handler. If you do other glitches in RBY you can get text messages like "Error 35" and those are also error handlers, proving that MISSINGNO. is most likely an error handler for battles only.

If you really want the real explanation for missingno. Go on YouTube and search the user TamashiiHiroka and go to Part Three of her RBY glitches series. She goes full depth on why and how he works.

ACTUALLY, you nailed it. You solved the MissingNo. mystery.

Missingno is really nothing but an empty slot in the game's programming, it wasn't originally meant to be obtainable, which is why i messes up the game. Missingno's Origin is nothing more but extra, unused data in the programming. there wasn't supposed to be a Pokémon to take its place. there are many more glitch pokémon that can be obtained too.

the reason why it evolves into Kangaskhan, is because its in line with the Programming Index, one being after the other. some glitches evolve into Rhydon.

FYI, Missingno does not evolve into Kangashkhan under any circumstance, M does.

Also, Bulbapedia is generally a better source than the Pokemon Wiki.
