Name of Pet- Herbie, My Best Friend (named after the theme song of the Herbie the Love Bug TV series) (aka Herbie-Gotchi)
Colored Pixels or Original Black and White?- Black and White (grayscale)
Shell Design- Would look like the same car shape formed by the words of the title in the movie, "The Love Bug". It will be white with red and blue stripes. It is quite larger than the Tama-Go.
Screen Background- Just like the background from the Herbie: Fully Loaded movie poster
Buttons (Shape)- Mini flowers that are known as the A, B, and C buttons
Icons- Meter (Stats), Gasoline Icon (Gasoline), Bubbles (Wash), Shopping Bag (Shop), Music Note (Music), Ball and Bat (Play), Flower (Discipline), Checkered Flag (Race), Z's (Sleep)
Basic Stats- Gasoline, Happiness, Cleanliness, Energy, Friendship Level
Setting Up Your Herbie-Gotchi- When you pull the tab by the left side of the shell, you will see Herbie completely hidden iside a huge blanket or something like that. Set the clock and date, then type in your User Name. Once you do that, you will see Herbie being revealed and hear him honking. Now you're ready to play!
How To Befriend Herbie- When you first play with Herbie, he will honk at you to tell you what it needs. Check its Stats by selecting the Meter Icon with the A button until it is highlighted, then confirm with the B button. Herbie Gasoline, Happiness, Cleanliness, and Energy Meters will be filled if you give him gasoline, play games with him, amuse him with toys, and give him a wash, and put him to sleep. If you do the right amount of care, his friendship level will increase. But be careful, because this car's friendship level will go down when you fail to care for his needs. His Friendship Levels come in 5 different levels.
Gasoline- Press the A button until the Gasoline Icon is highlighted, then press the B button. This gives Herbie the gasoline he just needs. ^_^
Playtime- Press the A button until the Ball and Bat Icon is highlighted, then confirm with the B button. There are two selections: Games and Toys. Three games that are included. Game I is "Get ♥!", where you have to avoid spikeballs and skulls, and collect hearts using the A, B and C buttons. A to move to the left, B to move to the middle, and C to move to the right. Game II is "Follow Herbie", where you have to press the buttons to copy Herbie's door-flapping. A Button = Left Side Door. B = Front Hood. C = Right Side Door. Game III is "Practice Race", where Herbie races another car and has to avoid obstacles in the race. Use the A and C bttons to move him left and right and try to avoid those darn obstacles. If you hit an obstacle, you'll get a strike. Get all 3 strikes and it's game over for you! The Toys section is where you can use toys for Herbie. You can buy some toys in the Shop!
Music Time!- Press the A button until the Ball and Bat Icon is highlighted, then confirm with the B button. You will entertain Herbie with a variety of songs. There are 4 preset songs, including his very own theme song, The Love Bug Theme. You can buy some more songs in the Shop!
Shopping Spree- Press the A button until the Shopping Bag icon is highlighted, then confirm with the B button. There, you can buy toys and songs for Herbie.
Car Wash- If Herbie starts to get dirty, press the A button until the Bubbles Icon is highlighted, then press the B button to give him a wash.
Disciplining and Praising Herbie- If Herbie is honking for no reason, refusing to get gasoline, or getting into mischief, you might need to discipline him. If he's in a bad mood, he just needs a little pick-me-up. Select the Flower Icon, then confirm with the B button. You will see two options: "Time Out" and "Praise". If Herbie is misbehaving, select Time Out. If he's in a bad mood and just wants to be loved, select Praise.
WARNING: If you mistakenly select Time Out even though Herbie's in a bad mood and really needs to be praised, he'll get mad. Be careful! Same goes for Praising when Herbie is misbehaving!
The Race is On- Same rules as the Race Practice game, but with multiple other cars instead of one.
Sleep Tight- Press the A button until the Z's Icon is highlighted, then confirm with the B button. Here you can play soothing lullabies to help Herbie fall asleep. Be sure that you have to do this just before you sleep. If you want to wake him up, press the A button until the Ball and Bat Icon is highlighted again when he's sleeping, then confirm with the B button.
Beep Beep!- If Herbie needs something, he calls you with a honk to tell you what he needs based on his stats.
...So, what do ya think? It would be cool if Disney and Bandai teamed up to make this.
