I've played both, and I cannot decide which is better! They both have completely different gameplay, aspects, and fundamentals. I find this to be a highly debateable topic among the internet, and I want to know your opinions. ( and why you like which better)

I like Minecraft, due to the graphics and the way the enemies and animals sound. The Creeper's signature "SSSSS...BOOM!" noise still gives me the creeps, however.

I have never heard of or played Terraria, but I personally am addicted to MineCraft, I LOOOOVE it, even though I've only played the demo or whatever you'd call it xD
