I was wondering about this since it happens a lot and I keep wasting my seeds.
On my ID L in English, my plant keeps dying. I notice it happens a lot on days it snows. Is there something that causes this? Low happiness? The weather itself? How can I stop my plants from dying on me?

Nothing - it's purely random. I can harvest plants even on snowy days in my iD L. Just keep planting

Ah okay. It just seems like the plants die more on snowy days. And then one time I got a bug out of the bud. DX

I guess you just need to keep on planting and eventually we might get something

I believe:
The chance of getting the bug is random (10%) with no external influences.
The chance of having the plant die is random but is influenced by your characters friendship gauge (happiness) level. When it's close to empty, there's a high chance the plant will die. When it's close to full, there's a low chance the plant will die.
