v5 connect help

Ok so I got a new v5 like 5 minutes ago so I connected my v5s together but one said download or reset
Why I thought it was the battery but I could be wrong

It's the battery; it always used to glitch that way on mine when the battery was low. ;)

just the battery, but here's a hint to changing it in a V5, NEVER remove the battery when it says "download/reset" as it sometimes clears your data
