I always thought that one year lasts 24 hours for a tamagotchi but I noticed this is not the case on the V3 I'm currently running. I hatched my tamagotchi at 6:05pm and if a year lasted 24 hours he should have turned 1 year old at 6:05pm the next day but he didn't turn 1 until 7:05pm. The day after turning 1 he became 2 at 8:05pm and turned 3 at 9:05pm the next day. He then turned 4 at 10:05pm a day later. He has never been paused so this would suggest that a tamagotchi actually takes 25 hours to age a year, not 24 hours. Has anyone else experienced this and does a year last exactly the same amount of time on all versions? It would be interesting to know, thanks :)

It is always 24 hours to 1 Tama-year. However this can be delayed particularly if you pause your device quite often.

But I have never paused my V3! Why is it consistently taking 25 hours for it to age a year?

A glitch, perhaps? But it's only delayed for an hour... nothing much really.
