So I just decided to hatch up a Morino after debating it for a few weeks now, however it seems to not want to hatch.

I chose the white egg, however after setting the time, the screen would fade and then go back to time screen. I have tried two sets of brand new batteries however it still won't seem to hatch. Any idea's why guys?

Hm, are all the screws nice and tight in the unit? Are the batteries for sure flush against the connectors?

Yes everything's is as it should be. I've tightened the screws too! It seems to be working now, although the screen doesn't seem right.

I wonderif some debris got inside and it messing with some sensors or something. Was it anywhere kinda dusty recently?

No, I store all of my tamagotchi's in there packaging inside a box, which itself is kept inside a draw next to my bed. It seems all right at the moment so ill let you know how it is in the next few days.

If you get some funkyness replace the main filtering capacitor on the PCB. I'm unsure of the value but it leads from the battery and it could be causing some weird voltage spikes.

Also, another thing I forgot to mention. The conductive tabs inside for the battery... try bending those in so the batteries are snuggly pressed against them. It's possible they are worn from batteries sitting in them for a long time and need bent back into shape. This could cause it to act like the batteries are dieing (i.e. fading screen then resetting itself).

That happened to me too!! I used two different brands. After a short while, it worked.. i didn't know how but it did...
