Tamagotchi iD L in English

The packaging has the BANDAI logo on it.
It even includes a piece of paper from Bandai (HK) Co., LTD, providing me a QR code to complete an online survey. The QR code works, however the code number of my product which is required for the completion of the survey seems to be incorrect when i type it in:/
There is also a full english manual of the Tamagotchi ID L.
The back of the tamagotchi states that it is made in china.
Everything including the features, physical appearance, manual, looks just as what I have seen online or on youtube videos. The tamagotchi is working fine as well!
Except that, i have not seen anyone online claim that they have an english tamgotchi id l! May I know if it could be a fake?? ): ):

English? Really? I am pretty darn sure they don't have English ones. A possible way is someone messed with the inner chip... But its hard to get to....

Do you have a picture of the English manual, or at least a link to where you bought it from?
i do have a picture but i can't seem to figure out how to attach pictures here!
i got it on ebay, it was a local pickup so i met the seller. i'd feel bad putting the link of the seller here as he was really sincere and assured me that it was real. i do like it a lot in english but just still very concerned if it could be a fake): could there be any way to tell?

Your iD L looks like it's a Hong Kong release, as the manual is in Chinese and English.
Bandai uses English for their Tamagotchis that are released in HK.
Wow, even the iD L's language is in English!
Is the whole interface also in English? Including the dialogues the characters make? If so, then there is an English iD L!
Looks pretty recent because the copyright on the bottom of the manual's first page, it says BANDAI 2012.
The Japanese-language iD Ls were manufactured in 2011, so maybe you've got one of the first-released HK iD Ls.

This could be a really revolutionary discovery!
Edit: it's distributed by Bandai Asia, which sells Japanese Tamagotchi with English instructions. Or maybe your iD L was tampered with...
Edit (again!!): I didn't look that closely at the instructions; they're in Chinese. Thanks, Ichiro, for that and the 2012! observation; could this mean color Tamagotchis are headed our way?

Bandai Asia is the HK distributor, and the instructions are in English and Chinese. Seems legit.
Maybe that iD L was just recently released by Bandai Asia because it's dated 2012.

Wait...so on the iD L itself, everything is in English?
Seems a bit odd to me. :/
Bandai did the same thing with the +Color and the iD (if I'm not mistaken), as they have released an HK version of it with the manual in English and Chinese.
We have yet to find out more, but this looks legit judging by the logos, quality of the manual and Bandai Asia's releases.

However, a Japanese-model Tamagotchi with English in the Tamagotchi itself... now that is very interesting. Excuse me while I hop over to e-bay for a bit...
