Just started my V1 last night and am trying to figure out how to fill the training points? Any help?

It's been a while since I ran a V1 but I think I remember what do do to start earning the training points.

You need to Praise or Time Out your tamagotchi when the ATTENTION icon lights up and the tama bleeps at you.

If it calls for attention for no reason (is not ill, is not empty of it's happy / hungry hearts) then give it TIME OUT

If it is sad/crying or is angry with it's back turned then PRAISE it.

I have managed to get one Training point when she was being bad.

Earlier she beeped and cried and I gave her Time out again - no training point there and I was wondering why not, but guess I should have praised instead.

Thanks for reply, this helped!

Seems like it will take a while to fill this bar though.

Yeah if it's crying/angry then you praise it.

Don't you get training if you make it go to the bathroom when you see the wiggle lines? I can't remember if that was on the V1...

So far I have not been able to catch her doing the wiggle -_- Will look out for it though.

I know its a little OT but really dont want to start another thread for this V1 again... when will it grow into a teen?

Don't forget we have a "Search" engine on TamaTalk - if you type in a key word like "evolution" and search in the Help for New Tama Owners forum it will probably bring up a list of posts for you to check through - there is usually one reply on the list which answers your question ;)

For the V1/V2/V3 the stats meter counts the age of the tama by years but the number of years is only a very rough guide - it's more accurate to count the number of hours the tamagotchi has been running (unpaused) to calculate when it will evolve:

baby for 1 hr then evolves to toddler
toddler for 24hrs then evolves into teen
teen for for 72hrs then evolves to adult

These are all unpaused times for evolution stages - if you pause your tama it will take the character longer to evolve to the next stage.

I'm trying to remember how old your tama will be (in hours) when the matchmaker starts to visit. I am pretty sure that if you don't accept any matchmaker offers or have a best friend through connecting then after it has been an adult (I think) for 72 hrs it will turn into an "oldie" character.

So I am guessing that some time soon after becoming an adult - maybe 24-48hrs it starts to get 10 minute visits from the matchmaker.

I think that's all the evolution stages.

Good Luck
