Just wondering whether all of the connection options are available or not and things like that?
What do Tamagotchi iD L's do when they connect with a P's?

When I watch videos, they give presents or visit eachother

Yup, they just either give connection presents and/or play a random game --- and wait; the P's can also mate with an iD L. *wink wink*
The only limitation is that you can't send items to each other.

Mine either play a game that involves jewels and flowers or they give gifts they have never cooked together but that would be pretty cool :3

The cooking thing is only for P's. They'll play the see-saw game instead.
