Hey guys,

Started my Morino again recently and this time I want to know some stuff. Tried doing a search on Morino stuff on the forums but didn't turn up much.

I want to know if the manual was translated. If not, can someone explain to me the different foods it can eat, when they become available, do they affect how they evolve etc?

Can too hot or too cold kill it in the hibernation stage?

I've seen some talk about it being better to keep them overweight, is this true?

Thanks in advance! :D

I don't have a Morino (but wish i did! :p ) so this is just what I have found by looking around at ancestor stuff - you may already have found this info, so it may (or may not) be helpful:

There's a tiny bit of feeding info in this chart created by -Ra-

some info from Pixelmood:

Various logs - esp Old School Tama's are quite useful as a guide to what happens on the temperature side at hibernation stage - but it does mean reading through logs and making notes rather than simply refering to a "Guide" on how to raise the bug you want ;)

Good Luck - hope you enjoy running your Morino

Hey Tamamom,

Unfortunately, that's the information I've read before. However, I did find another webpage that may be semi-useful to someone else raising their Morino as well:

(This site no longer exists and I had to use archive.org to retrieve it)

https://web.archive.org/web/20060901101920/https://viz.aset.psu.edu/ga5in/TamagotchiMorino.html

Slightly OT, but here is another good source of Tamagotchi information including journals (found this because someone linked to it through one of those Morino sites). Again, no longer exists so it uses archive.org:

Well, I got a Chibomonitchi (sp?) this time around. He seems like a good character; really easy to take care of. Originally, got the weight up to about 50mg then it went into an extremely hot cocoon, came back and went into a regulated temp cocoon again a day or two later. I should have checked that chart, because if I would have got him down to 30mg with the games and super cool temp cocoon I could have got one of the secret characters!

Either way, cool Tamagotchi. Just wish there was more people out there who have played with it who can comment.

Update on this.

Don't really want to start a log since I don't think I'll have enough dedication to keep it updated regularly. I find it's best to play the game with trying to get 2 leaves right away so you don't risk losing the game and in turn having it lose weight since these bugs like to get fat! If you can get 4 leaves then it will raise 2 hearts. If you got enough time then it might be worth doing that. Canceling the game before it ends will not penalize you by losing weight.

When the batteries are getting low it will say "BATT" on the screen. You can change them quickly and not lose your character.

This time around I got the twins/FutagoAritchi wasn't trying to go for it but basically got them to about 43mg then when it hibernated kept it warmish temp until bed time then let it stay on hot, when i woke up set it to cool to get it near warm temp again and they evolved into the twins character.
