I'm not new tama owner in general but I just got a Tamagotchi IDL and well... I don't know nothing...

I found the english insuctions on the intenet as it's japanese but there are plenty of questions I have.

I would like this topic not to be locked or checked as answered cause I'd like to post here everytime I have a question and I actually have many...

Also, other members could post questions or answers about anything that bothers the new Idl owners or anything secret not mentioned in the instuctions! Please as always I'd like to ask you not to spam or laugh at members that do not know things you do!

So my first questions are :

>How do we pause an IDL so that we won't spend battery even when the screen shuts off?

>What is friendship period

>What every item is and does?

Feel free to answer as many or whichever question you want.

Feel free to post with links even from tamatalk!

Feel free to post pictures.

There isn't a pause function (except going to the clock set screen.)

On previous models, the growth stages are egg, baby, toddler, teen, adult, senior (oldie). Here, "adult" is replaced by "friend". The friend stage can last forever. There isn't a senior growth stage.

Links to foods and items charts with English names can be found in this topic on Tama-Zone: https://tama-zone.com/index.php?showtopic=16982&st=15&&do=findComment&comment=3414620 The items you need to know about first are the mop, vacuum cleaner and scrubbing brush. These are for cleaning the various rooms in your Tamagotchi's home. If you don't clean them, after a few days they'll start getting dirty and take on a brownish or greyish tinge. (The same happens to your Tamagotchi character if you don't have her bathe.)

So, if it doesn't pause what do we do? I mean the screen shuts off, okay but the battery gets eaten up right? and the tama might die! I'm saying this because I go to school so, I'm of course not able to check it nor take it with me as it is truly bulky...I have no hope...

Your information though are really helpful about everything :eek: :eek: and thank you very much for replying :)

And about the growth? the previous versions I have are slow to grow up but are growing faster than the IDL... I mean, I have it three days now and I may be a bit impatient but it is teen and 2yr... It became 2yrs old in 8 hours that I'm at school unable to check it :huh: but before that it was 0yrs for long time... Actually....... I don't know....... It just has strange growth time...

Also, it has no jobs or many games and I must admit I still don't get the download part... I mean I surely need an infra usb or cell phone or something like that anyways but what if I can't have them? Nothing? I stay like I am?

I'm used to change batteries after many months to my previous tamas but it's logical that a colourful one must spend more time and eventually must have less time...

Do you know how much?

And finally this is a preferation question. IDL, is the latest of tamagotchis? And if so which of the colourful kind of tamas is the best? { Id, Idl , p's....e.t.c.}

PS: please forgive any terrible english use or grammar mistakes...

  1. The LCD screen turns off after a few seconds, but the Tamagotchi is still running. It's similar to how your cellphone display shuts off to save battery. Yes, the character will die or run away when neglected.
  2. Growths:Egg to baby - 5 minutes

    Baby to toddler - 1 hour

    Toddler to teen - 1 day

    Teen to adult/friend - 1 day
  3. You can send downloads to the iD L using its infrared port at the top. If you can't have downloads, that is fine - the iD L has many built-in items.
  4. When the sound if off and the brightness setting to middle, the battery can last for about 3-4 weeks.
  5. The iD L is not the latest model, they were released in March 2011. The latest model is the Tamagotchi P's which are exclusive to Japan only as of the moment.

There is no way sneaking it at school huh?...

And how long does it take to win something from the plant at the yard?

Thank you, you were also very helpful!

Well, there is actually a way, you can turn the sound off by pressing A+C buttons at the same time when you are in the living room. First option is ON, second is OFF. You can then put it on a small pouch and inside your bag - once the Tamagotchi becomes older, they demand less attention. Only marry them off during the weekend so that you will have time for the baby.

As for the plant, you will get the item early morning the next day.

Thanks again very much. I'll post here again with my next impostant questions for now I'm okay.

1) How do we dress up Gozarutchi with a special look? [what do I need?]

2)You can have as many pets you want?

3)What happens after tamatomo is full?

1) You need to go to the the clothes shop and to buy items from there

2) You can only have one. When you adopt one, you stick with it till you change generation

3) tamatomo = happy stickers ? Well when it's full nothing happens but you are ready for the next generation. The goal is to have the 4 happy stickers in every generations, so you can unlock new options

1) what items should I buy for Gozarutchi special look?

2) which are the special options after tamatomo?

[Hope I don't make anyone you reads this dizzy thanks for helping!]

1) If by "special look" you mean "Henshin Jo transformation", then you need to buy the Warrior Helmet, which is a download item.

2) If I am correct:

4=Henshin Jo

8=Patchi Onsen

12=Melody Land

16=Concert

20=Waru Cafe

24=Uranai No Yakata

28=Gotchi School

32= King's Castle
