V5 won't bond!

My V5 just got a new generation yesterday, and they've only done the bonding game once. My other V5.5 is at 10%. I'm worried there might be something wrong with my tama. Does anybody know how to get them to bond?

I don't quite remember how the bonding process works, but I can definitely say that just letting them bond once isn't anywhere near enough to be able to tell if there's a problem. Just wait for them to do the bonding thingy again, don't panic.

The bonding thingy is every 2 hours during the day: 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM. (not 8 AM or PM)

Change the clock to one minute before each one of these times, and they may ask for attention. Select the item that you want them to use (1st item for smart family, 2nd for cheerful family, 3rd for easygoing family) and after usually 2 or 3 bonding sessions, their bonding level will go up 10%.
