Can i adopt pets if I meet the same pet in the Park 2 times as a toddler / teen and meet the pet again as adult ?

I met Yumecyantchi yesterday as toddler 2 times. If I meet Yumecyatchi again as adult, can I adopt her ?

Not immediately. The times your character played with a pet before you character was an adult don't count.
