Yeah they are expensive on ebay, but it's really the only place I've seen them on. I haven't seen the English one's on Amazon or other sites

Remember: The "English iD L" is not an American version. It is a Hong Kong version and was sold in Asia. After they stopped selling them in Asia, they started becoming hard to find/over-priced on Ebay too.
I'm afraid they are hard to find anywhere except Ebay. I believe they are selling them in the exclusive Harrods shop in London for £60 so maybe if a friend/family member of yours goes to London..They can bring one? That is the way I get my Tamagotchis.
