What do you think happens to gotchi's when they die? Do they have an afterlife or do they cease to exist?

I think they come to Gotchi-paradise where it's full of goodies too eat and games too play, and they get to see all their relatives =D

Hmmm I dont think I would call it afterlife its more like reincarnation  When they die they dissolve into a series of 1's and 0's and then rise again as something/someone different.

I tend to think that they go to tama-heaven somewhere in cyber space. I mean they disappear off the screen briefly when you connect them, have you ever wondered where they go? They don't cease to exist then for me so I think there is a gotchi-paradise somewhere out there.

When a tamagotchi dies, an angelgotchi owner will look after its spirit then take care of it again! I dont know whats next though..

Well, Tamagotchi characters really do exist in another dimension.  When they die, their spirits are still right next to us but we can't see them because it's another dimension!

Well, in my log I made up some Tama afterlife where my past Tamas wrote letters to my future ones, but that was just to make the otherwise boring log more exciting. I don't think anything happens to Tamas when they die, because I don't think they're alive.

As I strongly believe my tamas are alive cute happy pets I also belive there is a Tama-heaven somewhere out there...

 

Some angelgotchis will take the spirit of the dead tama and get it to the beautiful magical tama-heaven were it is transformed to an anglegotchi too!!

The tama is offered toys to play with and lots of food and candy to enjoy!!!

There is always the dangerous devilgotchis though, who try to take it away but the anglegotchis always save the situation helping the poor tama and indrodicing it to

the whole family of tama-angelgotchis keeping it safe and happy forever!!!!!

Along time ago (in 1996 to be exact) some tamas were upset with the king and tried to revolt but The king got so angry he threw the treasonous tamas into little shells and sent them to earth.Now at first they hated it but then they began to not only love their tama owners and homes but they realized that when they diied they were sent back to tama planet to live again and their punishment was over and they could live like it never happened before. As tamagotchis got more to popular modern day stuff tamas volenteered to live in these shells but when ever they died they always went to live their normal lives in tama planet.

I like to think my tama's never actually die for real but instead go back to tamagotchi planet to visit their friends and family for 6 or 7 years (days for us) before returning to visit us gain. Now this is only my theory for the Gen1/Gen2 tama's, angelgotchi's are those poor tama's that never reached adulthood but give you a second chance to care for them in the afterlife before they head to their celestial heaven.

 

As for the mate-able tamagotchi's (osu.mesu and all connections/color versions) when the adult leaves they head back to tamagotchi planet to live a easy life of retirement thus leaving you to care for their kids. These are only my own thoughts and such but it makes it easier for me when they do leave me instead of thinking they just die and are gone forever.

When a Tamagotchi dies it is reincarnated into the next Tamagotchi on the device. I look at their having babies as a process of this reincarnation. A Tamagotchi can only truly die if the device is destroyed. They then go to the same afterlife we do so that they may be reunited with their caretaker someday. This is what I believe.

I've never thought about this before, but there is only one thing I think that could happen:

When tamagotchis die an egg with wings is shown on your screen. I believe this is because that will hatch again, somewhere else. May it be your device, another device or their own planet they will be reborn as a new spirit and will never truly remember who they once were. I however believe that even after death, they will always keep a connection with their owner. This gives each character hope that they will always have a chance to live a good life. Even when bones grow old, weak and fragile they sit in comfort knowing they will be born again to live a new life as a thriving young teenager who will always remember their owners....

When a Tamagotchi leaves its owner, it is not because of it passing away, it is because its time has come. A Tamagotchi comes to earth not because it is forced to, but out of loving and caring for the strange species that inhabitants the strange blue planet. The Tamagotchi come here to look after us. It is not us that raise the Tamagotchi, it is the Tamagotchi that raises us. When a Tamagotchi knows that its owner is well and cared for, they know it is their time to return to their home planet. And as the years go by on the Tamagotchi planet, they never forget the one who not only cared for them, but the one they cared for themselves.

heres what i really think

when you hatch a tama, that tama comes from tamagotchi planet to learn about us and our planet. you hatch it and it grows up and then ... well... it dies. when this happens i think the tama gets two choises. it can go back to tama planet, happy with the knowledge it has gained or go back to ciber space until someone else hatches it again, so it can learn more.
