tama go with out tama town?

I just ordered a tama go and 6 charms i just read that it sucks with out tama town. Is this true? What am i loosing?

I personally haven't experienced it with Tamatown so I don't really know what I'm missing.

But I do know that the only transferable data was money, and that you could get off your Tama-Go a code that could help you get a different character on Tamatown.

So actually the only negative thing for your tama-go is money because that'll be harder to obtain.

Although there is a hack somewhere where you can send 999000 or so points to your tama.

I think the Tama-Go can be pretty fun without Tamatown. The only downside is that without extra gotchi figures it gets kinda boring.

I never bought any but I still ran my tama-go for about 6 generations without them and without tamatown.

I got my Tama-go after TamaTown went down and I think its fine. I used to use it when I was running my V3 and never really felt it added anything to the game so doubt it would make that much difference to the Tama-go, it still works fine just like any other tama that never even had that option.

In my opinion, the Tama-Go is hugely lacking without gotchi figures and Tamatown.

Tamatown really did nothing for the Tama-Go except give you the ability to transfer gotchi points from / to Tamatown, but that's not a particularly useful feature. There were no transferable items, and because the item system was nearly completely removed in the Tama-Go, it takes away a lot of the goal and play time. Without figures, I can only go on for at most 10 generations without quitting out of boredom.

So, in my opinion, the Tama-Go is certainly not unusable since Tamatown has been removed- but there's not a great deal to do on it anyway, so it's not much of a loss. Your experience may be different, however.

I've never really tried the tama-go with tamatown, but I just wanted to let you know that I still enjoy my tama-go even though I never used it with tamatown. I have a lot of figures so it makes it very interesting. Really, it will most likely be the same amount of fun. No need to worry!

As others have said, TamaTown wasn't really all that. It did have some cute features like the ability to be able to decorate your personal room and the fact that you could make money and transfer it to your tama, however the TMGO is still just as good w/o it. Yes, it will be a shame to lose the features of tamatown. However, since you've never experienced it, you wont miss out on anything

If you wish you could use the V3 tamagotchi town. It won't work with the tama-go and is completely different to tamatown. It does offer some games though and an insight into the world of tamagotchi.
