Hi I just got a Tamagotchi P and I am really confused about the Toilet feature. Everytime I click it, my character does not want to use it, even as an adult! Also the background of the toilet room turned red! Anyone know how to address this problem?

 
There's really no way of forcing them to use the toilet. This will only happen if you catch them "wiggling" like they're going to pee.

Your screen turns into red/brown because it only means that the house needs cleaning.
The rooms in the can occasionally get dirty over time.
You can buy cleaning materials from the Tama Depa.

Vacuum cleaner - use this to clean the living room and the bedroom.
Mop - used in cleaning the bath and toilet.
Deck brush - use this to clean the baths.
