Are these V4.5's legit?

The picture is pretty small and in bad quality and since it's so cheap I'm not too sure. I've googled but the only V4/4.5 packages I found looked different and weren't just round. Seems to be the first wave of the V4.5's because of the balls instead of the stars. Anyone has one of these? I can see something that looks like the Bandai logo, not sure.

woops, I've accidentally ordered. Might as well pay now. Guess I'm gonna know next week if they are the real deal lol.

Check the sellers rating if it looks pretty good, odds are the items are real.

Yeah, already did that of course. Looks pretty good, even answered most of the few negative ratings. Just surprised it's so cheap lol.

The V4.5's with the balls instead of stars are only V4's

And btw I wouldnt trust that seller he sells nothing but fakes

They aren't legit. I looked at the shells and it looks legit but the packaging is obviously not. Plus, he sells a lot of fake Tamagotchis so I wouldn't be surprised if this is fake too.

Maybe post a picture when you get it?

It's either a European V4 or a V4.5 in a V4s shell, so be prepared for either

I believe that this is the European packaging. The picture is blurry but it matches the packaging of these tamagotchis. Also it does make sense, since the seller does live in Germany (Europe). Hope I could help and congrats if you happen to make the purchase!

Also in Europe, they are called Tamagotchi Connexion in Europe, not Connection.

So, I send the seller a message and he told me they are in fact originals (and are only so cheap because they are old), I could also pick the shell and bag. Well, I'm gonna see for myself when it arrives, but I hope Lawrence is right.

I see the Bandai(that actually says Bandai) logo and Connexion, so I'm gonna say they're legit European tamas.

I'm always surprised when I find out that not every country has its own amazon/ebay/whatever, I just noticed recently that only a couple of countries have their own amazon. Wow, it must be pretty annoying without it!

Still waiting for my package, btw. It's taking a bit long.. you would think getting something in the same country would be faster than getting it from Japan lol.

I guess, but sometimes it just depends on the shipping method that you choose and how speedy the delivery service is. Usually items purchased from companies and businesses are likely to arrive faster than items from individual sellers, no matter the location. I hope you get your package soon though!

For the record, they look genuine to me. Keep in mind that at least the first wave of European V4.5 Tamagotchis had the ball antennae similar to the V4, and not the star antennae like the regular American V4.5.

It finally came! It probably took a while because we had a bunch of holidays recently.

Well, it's the real deal, yay! Getting one new for this price is really nice. But it's probably a V4, since it says so on the package. (It has a white ball and is darker blue with a space motif.)

Waiting for the egg to hatch.. oh, I have to push the b button to set the time, alright. The buttons aren't as responsive as the others, is that normal?

If the package says V4, then it's probably a V4. From memory, the European V4.5's either did say V4.5 or Jinsei Plus... either way, if it just says V4, then it won't be a V4.5.

About the buttons, I guess it just depends from model to model and who manufactures them. It may be normal for European Tamagotchis to be less responsive, I've never owned one so I wouldn't be able to comment on that issue.

I actually have another problem with it:



As you can see the shell is not completely closed and no matter how hard I push I can't get it together. Is this normal? Are all V4's like that? I mean, it's not a big problem, it's only a little flaw, but still.

its a very cute shell lol..um if you can and feel comfortable doing it then you can take the shell apart to view it from the inside..it looks like there might have been some extra tab of plastic or something that caused it to stay opened like that...if you could safely remove it and then screw it back together it might fix the problem but please I AM NOT TO BLAME IF IT BREAKS!!! lol I couldn't bare to know my advice caused a tama to break<3

I had to dig out my V4 for a reference. My shell is closed completely, so I would expect the same for other Tamagotchis.



Maybe you can try and contact the seller, and see if they can do anything for you. I know something like that would really bother me!

If you're really gutsy, you can even try and open up the Tamagotchi and see if you can align it yourself. Having said that, there is risk for breaking your Tamagotchi.
