I don't really get how the Tamagotchi's ages work. So when they are born, they are obviously 0 yrs. old. The next day, they are 1 yr. old! How long is a year for a Tamagotchi? And, I saw this one thing on someone's profile that said he kept his Tamagotchi up, so it aged faster. How does that work?

1 human day = 1 Tama year

Pausing a tama also pauses it's growth; a Tama does not age when it's paused.

Thank you soo much! So, keeping it up in the night does not affect the age?

Except when they just hatched, then that first hour is a year.

Actually, I don't think that's the case, at least not with any of the Tamagotchis that I have?

Maybe on certain versions though...

So each day is 24 hours. In most versions, it will still age even if you mess with the time so it sleeps all day and night or stays awake all day and night.

Well, I got a baby on my P's today; it's a child now and still 0 years old.
