Roughly twice a year - major releases every November and a sub-release around roughly March.

Sorry, I don't know the exact term, it's like a "minor release" or something.
A good example would be the Tamagotchi iD L Princess Spacy which was released on March 2012.
Princess Spacy is not a major new version but just a different variant of the iD L.
