The Cure

I layed my head down and fell asleep,

I dreamed I sat in a field of wheat,

I saw you far out standing patiently,

in a beam of moonlight watching me,

in your hands was a tiny box that glowed a soft white,

it shimmered like stars in the dark of night,

you had beckoned me to take a peek,

you had told me that love was the only key,

i had taken the box and lifted the lid,

i wept many tears at the sight within,

i saw people not hating but loving like friends,

i saw violence and wars had come to an end,

child abuse had become the past,

there were no more fires and much more grass,

there no more weapons used to kill people,

there were many more eys laid on the steeple,

our pets were friends and well respected,

all fighting was shamed and well regretted,

cancer was cured as well as all sickness,

no anxieties or fears, there was nothing but hapiness,

i started to tremble as I stared inside,

i gave the box back as I closed my eyes,

you had smiled and watched and than replied:

do not be struck with disbelief,

as everyone here on earth posesses the key,

we can make this happen if you want to beleive,

and we can start right here with you and me,

open your heart and start to see,

that love will grow and start to seed,

I woke from my dream and sat in my bed,

the words dancing around in my head,

I smiled as I thought of the cure,

for a world so tainted and blurred,

I felt in my heart a gift sent from above,

and to this day my mission is to spread love.
