Like We Used To Be

A poem dedicated to my friend.

You baked a cake when I was about to leave,

You kept my head up when it was on my sleeve,

But now it's not the same,

I'm fed up of this crazy game.

You tell me I'm the bestest friend ever,

I smile at that whatever the weather,

But now it's not the same,

Without you I hardly have a name.

In my heart I know we're still very close,

But do you still love me like you did before?

When you're not here it's depressing to strike a pose,

I hope we're still friends like we used to be.

All the memories faded away,

Now we don't even see each other everyday,

I try to hide the tears but somehow they just come out,

I hope we're still friends like we used to be.

Now the sadness is rising up high,

You'll never read this but I want you to inside,

But now it's not the same..

I'll try to move on, but I am always here for you.
