A tamagotchi V2 makes a strange transformation

I can't even begin to describe them so I'll do my best and start with a story:

So on Wedensday, I went out shopping. I heard a "beeeeep" and checked on my tamagotchi. It went back to the egg stage. No biggie, this has happened before even with new tamagotchies. I hit a button and chose 'download' and instantly got my tama and her daughter back. It took them back to 9 am so I fixed up the time, no weird sounds. Later in the evening I saw that they pooed and went to clean it up. That's when I noticed it, instead of the normal "beep beep" noises it makes when I'm hitting the A button it was making this weird chime like "Doo doo!" Kind of like the beginning to the mexiacan hat dance. The select noise is a chipper chime that I have a hard time explaining, kind of a rising series of notes. The cancel button is a low "Doo doo" real quick. The happy cheering noise is a "Doot-doot doot- doo doo doo do dooooo!" During game it keeps going a second after the tama is done cheering. I have a video of these noises and if their is anyway to post them here I will (I only have them on a closed group on facebook).

I just want to know what in the world made the tama like this, it seemed to happen out of no where! Everything else with it is fine, is it because of the cold? I had it in my hoodie pocket while I was outside. Is that even a possiblity?

Maybe the sound chip is damaged from being bumped too much, or maybe it's just old...Another possibility is that maybe leaving old batteries in screwed it up. I lost a Version 5 for a while and it still had batteries in. When I found it, there was no acid leakage but it sometimes makes sounds like the ones you described (but not very often). I am not sure how to fix it. :/

If you try resetting your Tamagotchi if they make those noises, the sound chip will go back to normal. It always works on one of my V2 Tamas.

Hmm the batteries are brand new, maybe bumped too much would do it... but I don't keep a lot in my pockets so I don't know... someone below suggested resetting it. Tonight the mama tama leaves so I can do that tomorrow and see if it helps any

Oh you've had it before? I think I may try that, I'm hoping it works, it just started out of no where

Sound chip going bad or speaker could be dying. I have a Digimon with a bad speaker, it sounds very static-y.

This is the tama I sent her in a trade. It was never like this at all when I had it. It's MUCH different than the normal sounds, the sounds are a different melody and sound nothing like a tamagotchi at all. It sounds like an odd pet. PoesRaven, if you upload the video to youtube I think you should be able to embed it in a post.
