Ok, so I know this might sound a bit weird, so I'll give an example.

When I was younger I kind of treated my tamagotchis as a way to pass the time, and something to acheive goals with (getting perfect care characters, etc.). I would always marry my tamas off as soon as i could and only did the minimum to get the characters I wanted.

Now, I treat my tamagotchis as more of a real pet. I don't marry it off instantly, I get it the pet i think it would want, I renovate the house to suit the colour scheme/personality of my tama, I make sure it's got all tamotomo symbols and that everything is good before I even think of goint on to the next generation.

What about you guys??

We'll I viewed them as pets when I was younger they never helped me through bad times because I was picked on for liking them at my old school :( now with the p's I view tamagotchi as less of a pet and more of a little toy that you dress up and collect things with going through each character till I raised them all

I use them less and less but go back from time to time I always have my p's with me though

When I was younger I pretty much viewed them as pets that I never had to leave at home and would always be there to keep me company and play with me while I was bored

Now I'm not really sure how I view them, I mostly view them as little real-time games that are always by my side, but I think I also still think of them as sort of a companion to some small degree. Whenever I go somewhere alone I think about how I have my tamagotchi to come along with me. I think I treat them more like pets when I'm just running 1 and more like games when I'm running multiple

When I was young, I really thought you could just play games and buy stuff. Nowadays I treat them as companions and friends :)

Thank you Britty for putting in words something I had in mind and didn't know how to say. xD
