Hello there! ^__^
I am getting this little fellow for xmas and I was wondering if anyone knows what it is. :)

It surely is a puppy pet, but I've never seen this shell shape and design... The buttons are also strangely located.
Any ideas...?

Oh, I've checked tamenagerie, ofc. ;) There was nothing similar. ;/

It must be a pretty rare virtual pet... maybe one that has no brand name? I think it might be in a different language too. :o

not all virtual pets display text
some don't display text of any kind

so language might not be an issue

The art style reminds me of a chick pet

Oh yes.

Lemme rephrase what I said before.

It might be from a different country. B)

EMF, didn't you say that 'wang' is a japanese word for 'bark'?
