Chain fishing is a new way to catch shiny pokemon in X&Y here's what you will need:
Any kind if rod you wish to use.
A inkay or any pokemon with the ability suction cups.
A place to fish.
Rules:
You can't move from your spot once you have started fishing. Do not get on your bike or skates. Don't do any online activitys. Eg:GTS. Do not miss a bite or you will brack your chain even if you didn't get a bike you will break your chain. DO NOT leave the game. Do not move.
You can switch rods or use your menu, have the pokemon with the ability at the front of your party. This will insure you will always get a bite. Tip: you may force the pokemon to faint and leave it at the front and you will still get the effect. You may run or capture the pokemon you encounter without breaking your chain.
1. Choose a spot to fish.
2. Begin fishing.
3. Reel in catch.
4. Continue fishing until a shiny appears.
Warning: once you have found a shiny pokemon it will break your chain.
Have fun! Oh and post what kinds of shinys you guys have caught. I caught a clawizer and a poliwhirl.
