weird doggie in mga shell

Well all of my research has been done on YouTube and I was trying to find more information about this guy but I'm confused. What's anyones take on this creature ? It's a little beat up because I just digged it up from my old drawer !

OMG another peanut dog! Everyone else has an actual looking dog. Couldn't tell you the name but that is the EXACT pet I have. I came in a simmilar package like the others in the shell. I recall a blue paper and it had a simple name... It was so many years ago. >.

Yup. Exactly the same one. I call it "Peanut Dog" since it looks/reminds me of a peanut.

I bought it in an art store before it moved out of the mall. I seemed to be the only one with a peanut dog in the same shell. Otherwise, others had a dog which resembled a dog that looks like one. I have seen a few colors of this shell. Yellow, orange, red and white. Maybe more but I can't recall others. I have tried to track down another peanut dog (or actual dog in same shell) many times over the years. Haven't found another peanut dog though. I almost think it was under a less known digital pet maker... But not totally unknown.

Midorime, ah okay so ... Somehow this petogotchi puppy found itself in this mga she'll? Or ... Did shells and whatnot not matter as much.

Perhaps the same company just intermixed their products under different names ? The video does state that this puppy is very similar to the MGA puppy and given that it's in this sort of shell is just weird!

I've seen that shell of yours house at least 3 different kinds of pets, from Petogotchi, to MGA, to even a Nano clone. I'm not sure if there was a separate distributor for shells or what.

Well, it does happen that different pets come in different shells. For example I have an Akachan Dino, which is in a totally different shell than the Ra's Akachan or any other one that I've seen. But it's the same thing.
It is kinda weird that it happens, but it simply does. And to me it makes it more interesting tbh. xD

I agree it does make it more interesting! However if I was in a buisness I wouldn't want my product that relies on kids/parents identifying it from the shell at first sight, sometimes that is, and seek out the product to only get another different one. I just find it pleasantly strange haha

The most probable thing is that different companies that were making the chips for virtual pets were buying the shells from the same company. That would explain why there are MGA's and nano clones and other vpets in same shells.

I received my package with two vpets I was waiting for. One was an Apollo 8 in 1 and the other one was a strange looking dog vpet I've never seen before:


I popped batteries in and... It's a Petogotchi as well! xDDD

Oh surely! I like MGA type vpets a lot and since this one seems to run an MGA-like program I think I am going to have lots of fun with it.
