Yesterday after my Angel reset itself, I'm attributing it to bad/dying batteries, I noticed the sound on it was quieter. I compared the beeps to the Angel to the P1 and the difference in noise was very blatant. Is there anything I can do to get the beeps back to normal?

 
Have they gotten quieter since you've had it? The Angels have such quiet beeps to begin with!

 
this exact thing happens to my angel all the time

the sond on mine kind of changes, one moment, the sound's very very quiet, and a moment later, it's really loud

maybe it changes for yours as well?does it get louder and quieter over time, or does it stay silent?maybe replace the batteries by some fresh ones?another possibility is to open it up and check the wires.

Do what tamafan325 said, but clean out the speaker if it's rusty and make sure to tighten the four screws inside the Tamagotchi if they are loose.
