Best time for matchmaking wit iDL

I want to have my Tama stay as an adult for as long as possible before starting the next generation. I have hard that if you wait until he is elderly, the only babies you get will skip toddler, teen and adult stages and will immediatlly become elderly after the baby stage. I also heard that when they are elderly they sometimes cannot be brought to the matchmaker anymore.

Does anyone know how long I can wait before bringing Mametchi to the matchmaker?

Well I guess that settles that question then.

Only color version that has oldies is the +Color, oldies can stiill use the matchmaker there and yes, the baby will go straight to adulthood with a special character. When it comes to other rumors, on Music Star, the matchmaker can still come to an oldie, but after a certain time, it stops. On rest of the connections, matchmaker never comes to the oldies, they can only mate with other oldies via connection, and their baby goes straight to adulthood.

Best time is when you collect their happy symbols, though if you have the character you got happy symbols of already it's usually the best to marry them off as soon as possible. Personally I'd play that whole keeping character forever thing after completing all of the goals.

Why would it be best to marry him off asap if he has all the happy stickers?

To get another character and earn their stickers. Stickers unlock locations and stuff like that.
