http://www.ebay.com/...=item2ed033bf4e it doesn't say what type of tamagotchi it is on the egg. and whats a tamagotchi generation?

It says "tamagotchi generation unknown", so the seller just doesn't know how it's called.

As mentioned, it's a P2 Tamagotchi and it is a second generation P2 - you can tell by the background design of the screen.  Wavy lines = Gen2 (Checkerboard pattern=Gen1)

No need.  It will be useful to other members - it gives everyone a little info on how to spot a fake or a real tamagotchi ;)

 

Also, If you would like one of your own threads closed you only need to report it (click the little yellow !
