A few days have passed since the last incident, and Meloditchi making a great recovery. The time just flew by as our bond got stronger and stronger, I began to see her as more than just a pet, a Tamagotchi. To me, she was a friend, and to her, same was I. I felt happy, content even, as I saw her at the end of every school day. But that same feeling was always backed up by another: knowing my mother would soon come and take possession of her once again.
On a beautiful Saturday, I decided to take her to the park. We had fun, I bought some ice cream with some spare change, we made some friends, played a bit... you know, had fun. But after a while, Meloditchi had strayed a bit from my vision. I must've lost her while I was staring off into space while resting on a park bench. Curious, I get up to search for my beloved friend. For a while I figured she was just playing hide and seek; I couldn't find her at all. Beginning to get bored of her little game, I yelled "Meloditchi! Come on!" In hope she'd some back to me. I glance at my watch. 6:48. Great, I thought, the sun's going to set soon.
Suddenly, popping out of the nearby bushes was Meloditchi. "There you are!" I exclaimed as I noticed her. I was about to go over to her and take her home, but another Tamagotchi popped out of the bushes with her, stopping me in my tracks. A Mametchi? With her? "Huh?" I exclaimed. "What are you doing with him?"
She stopped, stared, then blushed. Then I could see what was going on.
Later that evening, Meloditchi, Mametchi, and I all stayed at the house I currently lived in. The crush between the two Tamagotchis got bigger and bigger, even giving me butterflies in my stomach when I saw them together. It was about their time in age to get into this sort of thing, so I supported both of them. The days past that eventually became the same. Only now, with another member in the group.
Finally, a special day came. As I walked the two lovers to the matchmaker's, I could feel myself smiling and a warm feeling came to my heart. Meloditchi and Mametchi have grown so close, it didn't even shock me when they decided to arrange a marriage. I knew the day would come when they'd leave me for a happy family. But then Meloditchi's smile told me that if it wasn't for me, they wouldn't even be like this. I helped her grow, I helped her become like this. And now, I'm helping her to happiness. I gave her a hope for happiness, and she gave me mine.
