As I've heard several people talk about, the ID L indeed is very scratch able. I'm going to be honest though, the screen is not as delicate as I thought it would be on my blue ID L. However, after using it for several weeks and carrying it around, I'd prefer to put a screen protector. But since the screen is sort of indented, I can't get an accurate measurement of the dimensions for the screen. Could anyone help? Also, what kind of protector do you put? (E.g. Phone screen protector etc.)

I use Cling Wrap, lol. It covers the whole tamagotchi, but it doesn't look very pretty, but it saved my P's once from soy sauce, lol

I actually considered using that! I've seen some people put it on their tama, it actually looks very glittery :p However, since the screen on the ID L and P's is indented, unlike the ID or +C, I'm not sure the plastic would wrap around it correctly.

I just got a screen protect for a Kindle and cut it down to size.
If you do it bit by bit it's no too hard to get the right size, it can be a bit of a hassle but once you've done it the first time you can keep the peel off bits as templates for the future :) .
Also I found it fit easier if you cut off the corners once you get it to the right size, it only leaves a tiny portion unprotected which would take a very precise accident to damage ^__^
