As anyone who's ever owned a furby knows, the little fluffballs are considered, ah... notorious for their malfunctions, when combined with their ability to learn phrases and such.  Does anyone have stories about times their furby said or did something that was unexpected, odd, or scary?  I'd love to hear what other furby owners have experienced.

The time one of my Furbies started glitching out and making really weird whirring/bleeping sounds while rapidly blinking and opening his beak.

And the time my two Furbies had a burp contest that lasted for 10 minutes. It was just like constantly BURP BURP BURP BURP BURP BURP

I dug my Furby baby out of the tote in the shed, and reactivated him.  My cats and dogs are really freaked out by him.  They won't go near the bookcase where he is.

This didn't happen to me, but to a girl in one of my classes. She was asleep, her furby on a shelf in her room. For some reason the furby woke up (even though there was no noise to really make it do that) and said "dance with me!". Just imagine waking up and hearing those words coming out of the silence. :P It would freak anyone out!

The furby would not turn off, and I guess she didn't have a screwdriver to take the batteries out or anything. So she wrapped the furby up in a bunch of clothes, put it in a box, and shoved that under her bed, hoping the furby would go back to sleep before her parents woke up.  :D
