There are Tamagotchi characters that appear similar to characters from other franchises. Most likely coincidence, of course.
Kuchipatchi looks like the Pokemon "Gulpin". I once saw some Gulpin plushes on Google and thought they were Kuchipatchi plushies for a second XD
(Random unrelated trivia: Take the "tchi" away from Kuchipatchi and you get kuchipa. Scramble the letters in Kuchipa and you get Pikachu

Marumimitchi looks like Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse existed first of course
Melodytchi reminds me of the Cat and the Fiddle nursery rhyme. I mean, she looks like a cat, and she has a violin
Genji from Animal Crossing reminds me of some weird Mametchi/Mimitchi combination
