About a week ago, my mother sent me this very photo and message:
"Look what I found x"

Now, this instantly wreaked me with nostalgia from when I was 8, a good decade ago,
when these little critters were the craze at my primary school.
Eventually though, they got banned and I lost interest.
This, along with a red v2 and silver v4, went into storage-

(The Red v2 is the one I actually the one I ordered, and the v4 picture is my actual one, too!)
Lone behold, she sent me the photo, and the first thing I did when I got home from work
was buy some new 3 volt batteries, and went on a search for my old Tamagotchi''s.
I managed to find the silver v4, but I believe the v2 had reached the end of its lifeline and had
been thrown out, as I remember the middle button falling out when I was small.
Here I am, a week later; the same v2 from my childhood, a v3, and a v5 on their way
from a seller on eBay, and a newly bought 'Friends' version (a veryvery cheaply made era of tamas, might
I say), awaiting the true re-kindling of my childhood.
(Finding out I still had a nearly 8 year old TamaTalk account shocked me too!)
So, raises my real topic-
Were you ever re-united with your old tamagotchis?

Welcome back to TamaTalk! :D There are a lot of members here who rediscovered their childhood interest in Tamas. :) I first got into Tamas 8 years ago when I was 5, then lost interest and rediscovered them aged 8, when I also joined TT. I lost interest again last year (aged 12), but I'm still here on TT. :D And who knows, maybe I'll get back into Tamas someday.

Nope, I never stopped running them or lost interest in them at all. I've been a dedicated fan for almost 8 years and counting ;3 I love Tamagotchis too much to ever take a break!

So, like, you never matured through life and put them down for just a moment? I think it's

all peer pressure though really, as a 16y/o who just started to go out to parties and being

sociable, I think I decided then that Tamagotchi's would not help me in life..

Then at 18, I decided that was just stupid and that Tamagotchi's are awesome! :D

Well, I guess I've gone through a few periods of not playing with tamagotchi during my almost 8 years since I got my first one...

(I just realized; EMF, that soon the two of us will have spent the greater part of our lives with tamagotchi, as we're born the same year, got our first ones the same year, and soon now over half our lives will have been spent with them!)

... Still though, each time I took a brake I was always planning on taking them up soon again. I never intended to stop, and I never did, so none of the brakes were really major. In the end I always missed them so much that I simply had to return to them...

I've been with tamas since 1997. Yes, I do take breaks from them, as I do have other interests, as well as work. Sometimes, I'll take a break for a year or two. It's healthy to do so.

Dude same thing totally just happened to me. I was watching videos of tamagotchis on youtube and all of a sudden I want to start a couple up again (I have like, 18 or 19). So I just called my mom and asked her to bring all my tamagotchis to my house today lol I'M EXCITED

It's been several years since I played with tamagotchis. I think back in like 2008. And I haven;t played with any of them since. Over the years I;ve thought of selling all of them but I'm super glad I didn't

I played with Tamagotchi's back in 1997 but after a lot of moving houses and 1 getting stolen at school I will never see my originals again however a few years after I stopped playing with them and was packing to move house I did get into them again but after moving house again after that they were long gone lol so this time I had to buy new ones

... and 1 getting stolen at school...
I had the same thing, pyrotarukia. In 2004, when I was around 8/9, I had my red v2 in my desk tray,

and the boy who sat next to me took it whilst I was out at lunch. Somehow I knew it was him, and

me and my parents went to his house to get it back.

The feeling of triumph I had, walking away with a near-dead Tamagotchi as his parents hollered and

yelled at him inside his house for being a thief.

It was priceless.

I ended up selling all of mine growing up I think. And some got stolen. :( Glad you founds yours, they were never banned at my schools, but all card games were (except Uno for some odd reason). So no Pokemon, no Yugioh, etc. I think as long as the sound was off, teachers didn't care at my elementary school. They didn't last long, though, since the Gameboy Color was bigger than Tamagotchis when Pokemon really started taking off.
