I've been thinking about buying a yuki penguin, but I wanted to know if you can mute the sound on it and/or pause via the time screen like you can with color tamas. Thanks! :3

 
You're in luck! :D I found my instruction booklet that came with my Yuki/Dinkie Penguin. The English language side of the instruction booklet says and I quote: To switch sound on/off in game mode (when no activity is on). Press and hold the left and right keys at the same time for 3 seconds. :)

I don't know about pausing it though. The instructions only say how to start the clock after you pull the tab out. You can try to hold the left and right keys when your in clock mode. I haven't tried it myself. :huh:

 
Oooh thanks for the info!! The first virtual pet I ever had was a yuki pengin but I lost it, and I wasn't sure if I should buy another since I can't have my virtual pets beeping at work. Super helpful !!

 
I think if you pause the clock, it'll pause the pet. It doesn't do it on Hitorikkos, though. Unless I'm confusing them. I haven't run mine in a long while.
