Tamagotchi friends: why does it call me?

I just recently got a blue tamagotchi friends and it grew up into a mametchi, JUST like the intro page on tamatalk. Anyway, sometimes, he calls me with that surprised look and an exclamation mark above. Whenever I press the b button, he either does the thing if you press the c button (e.g coming close up to the screen or spawns hearts) or starts taking a shower. Then I check his stats, they're all full! I don't get why he calls me like that for no reason. Any clue why?

it might just be that he wants attention

The ID L usually does this if it's hungry, or when it's stats are full, it just wants to play.

So I'm going to guess it may be the same thing.
