I have a broken iDLe and was thinking of trying something to get paint to stick to it. I've seen some painted but they're always chipped and messed up. I am considering a way to get the paint to stick then maybe put new designs etc on the tamas.

One concern of mine is the clear face plates on the tama, Im not sure if they'll hold paint even if I sand em. The P has those little gems on the face so I dont know how I'll do that.

Would anyone in the Ohio or close by have broken tama's or empty shells I could practice on? Little or big w/e as long as its plastic and I can try to paint it.

And does anyone have a technique to pop the clear face plate off maybe?

you can't just use every day houshold paint. you need plastic specific paint which you can only usually get in a spray can.

Yeah, Im planning to remove the insides and sand the shell down to get it to stick.

I used permanent markers to draw back some design that rubbed off my V4; you can buy permanent markers in various colors and they work nicely.
