Hi everyone, I have a purple Japanese Ocean coming in the mail, so I was looking up everything I can about them. I saw some people saying the battery only lasts about a week on the Ocean, is this true? Because other Tamas seem to last very long and batteries are pretty expensive!

No, my Umino lasted as long as my other vintage Tamagotchis. I guess some people use bad batteries; you should buy reliable brands.

Yep, the name brand is much better than the "dollar store" type. I've had really good results with either Duracell or the Energizer ones. Everready batteries are pretty good, as well.
