ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!! I got my tamagotchi friends just yesterday and I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO!!! It's always hungry I can seem to figure out how much it's supposed to weigh. When I try to play games with it it gets hungry again and I have to feed him causing him to gain more weight! He calls me for no reason sometimes and I can't discipline him because there is not discipline icon! The instruction Manuel that read online also said something about bathing them ( ? ?' ) the games are also so complicated so can't get to lose weight that easily! I love my new tamagotchi friends but it's so hard to take care of them I almost cried (T 0 T)

Well I'm not sure about the attention one but for it being hungry, as a baby, tamas require more attention becasue their hungry and happy bars go down quicker and it has the game get that's on the v3 (don't know if it's called that on the TF) but it's the one where you catch musical notes and that's very fun and not to hard!

When it calls you for no reason, sometimes it's just to get your attention so it can perform a cute action. That confused me too at first, since my TF was my first "newer-gen" tama and I didn't know they had those actions. Anyway, if it calls you for attention and it doesn't seem to need anything, just ignore it. There is no discipline in this version.

The baby stage drops hearts quickly and that's why it's always hungry and calls for attention. The toddler stage isn't as bad, but it does get hungry more often than the adult stage. I never had an issue with weight because whenever I feed my Tama, I also play a game. I've found the driving game is definitely the easiest and doesn't take that long to get to the goal, also it's easy to get the max Gotchi points.

ETA: Forgot to mention this, but as for bathing, your Tama will take a bath about an hour before it goes to bed. You don't need to actually make it take a bath in Tamagotchi Friends, unlike other versions like the iD L where you have to bathe it yourself.
