Will someone patch my P's for me?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a cheap, used tamagotchi P's on eBay in hopes of patching it to English and then giving it to my friend (who hasn't owned a tamagotchi since the Connection days). However, my USB IrDA doesn't seem to work with this Tama! It works perfectly with my P's which is firmware two (the one I am trying to patch is firmware one), I think that may be the case.

Will anyone here please help me patch this tamagotchi P's? I can't buy another USB IrDA and don't know anyone who has something equipped with IR. If you do agree, I will gladly pay for shipping both ways!

Did you make sure the patches you were transferring to your friend's P's were for firmware one? Not the firmware two patches by mistake?

Ya, if you could describe in detail what you did this time we might be able to help you out.

I make sure that it was firmware 1. I am positive that I have tried over 50 times. I spoke with multiple people about it and they came to the conclusion that my operating system wasn't working with the IrDA.
I can connect initially to the P's with no problem but when I tried to send a file, the program freezes. Then I have no choice but to force quit, as it does not close on its own.

It also has a time lag (a few seconds long), it doesn't always report the Tama as being connected until a bit later after it has disconnected (due to not receiving a response from the computer).

Yes, the Transfer Files icon only pops up whenever the computer thinks that it is connected to the P's (which is usually a good few seconds after the P's has connected to it). When I try to establish the connection again and send a file it doesn't work.

I've used the same method with my Firmware 2 tamagotchi and it works fine, it seems to be a software problem with my computer.

Let's not talk about shipping to someone and patch just yet since it is pretty risky. let's try to troubleshoot the problem.

Your telling me that your doing the same thing on the firmware 2 P's but doesn't work?
