What do you think of Mametchi?

I was wondering: what do you think of Mametchi? I know he's a very popular character, but what are your feelings on him?

 

Here are my thoughts:

 

The reason I passionately LOVE getting Mameotchi on my Entama is because he can evolve into Mametchi, and I love getting Mametchi. Why? Well, would I like Tamagotchi all the same if Mametchi didn't exist?

Absolutely not! Tamagotchi would suck without Mametchi!

Mametchi is like one of the main ingredients to Tamagotchi. Without Mametchi, the Tamagotchi franchise would never be how it is today. It seems like that as one of the staple charactes, if Mametchi was cut from Tamagotchi, I'm sure the franchise would fail more than I could ever imagine.

 

So you've heard mine. Remember: You might agree, you might not agree, but it's how I really feel.

 

And by the way, I chose Mametchi because I was thinking about him at the time, and I wanted to share it on TamaTalk, and to hear your thoughts too.

 

What are your thoughts?

Don't get me wrong, Mametchi has been one of my favorite Tamagotchis ever since I was like 5, but he's not as important as he used to be, and I'm pretty sure he's not the ultimate reason for the franchise's success. (Success? In Japan, anyway...)

I love Mametchi! When i was like 10 and had some of my first tamas (v3's) my main goal was to get the coolest characters! Mimitchi and Mametchi were the coolest characters because they always showed up everywhere. So i'd say Mametchi did keep my into tamagotchi. (I never actually got him until a long while later. I sucked at caring for them. xD)

He's cute.

Eh, he's alright. He's not my favorite character, but I can appreciate him.

I mean, he is one of the mascots for the franchise. Tamagotchi would be weird without him.

Mametchi used to be one of my favourite characters back when I was small too, I used to love him and tried to get him all the time

Sadly now is not one of ny favourites anymore, mainly for 2 reasons:

1. Ura Mametchi, is like a 100x cuter Mametchi to me, and since there's no point on having 2 mametchis on my favs,,the Ura wins~

2. He is not hard to get anymore, getting him used to be a challenge, now the challenge is not to get him, Because now he is the easiest character to get. That makes him less special :/

But I still believe Mametchi is one of the most important things in tamagotchi, so are Memetchi and Kuchipatchi, I wouldn't love tamagotchi the same without the main 3

Of all the Tamagotchi characters, I think Mametchi is one of the most adorable. He was even adorable back in the day when he was blue and didn't have those big shiny eyes. He used to be my very favourite character until Knighttchi came along.

When I was small, Mametchi was kind of like my Tamagotchi spirit animal, if that makes any sense I was a very serious kid and spent a lot of my time studying. So when I read Mametchi's character description of being down-to-earth and studious, I always tried to get him so I could have a study-buddy

I agree that the Tamagotchi franchise wouldn't be quite the same or as successful (at least in North America!) without Mametchi. He's kind of like the brand's spokes-gotchi. Even some people I know who don't really know beans about Tamagotchi recognize Mametchi, and that's saying something.

Mametchi means more to me than anything in the whole universe Because the only reason I wanted a Tamagotchi was because of Mametchi, and without Tamagotchi, my whole life would be a wreck and I wouldn't have the wonderful friends and boyfriend that I have now.

He was the best-care character on the first Tamagotchi ever made. People think the girl characters e.g. Lovelitchi are more important now but that is not true; Lovelitchi and other girls were removed for a while but Mametchi was NEVER removed. He is on Tamagotchi Channel's favicon and he represents Tamagotchi better than any other character. I think he is and always will be the mascot of Tamagotchi.

As for Mametchi, I love him, he's so cute, but I think I love Ura Mametchi a little bit more!

Mametchi is just so adorable, and smart. Always has been my favorite, along with Mimitchi.

I agree with Bitbot and magicboa. One thing I specificially like about mametchi, is that he is smart without being sassy and all superior about it. That kind of characters are actually quite rare I think, no matter where you look.

I really like Mametchi, but he's become so easy to get that it can be difficult for me sometimes to get any character BUT Mametchi. He'll always be special to me because he reminds me of my P1/P2 days, but Mimitchi was always my favorite of the original characters. Mametchi is very cute, though.
