still don't know what the p is for

nyatchi, the color-changing cat, is available only on this version (pochitchi is on the first p2 release and the american)

special characters differ for all three releases of the p2 (sekitoritchi for the first release in japan; chariatchi, the bike-riding tamagotchi on this second release of the japanese p2; zatchi, the ET on the american release)

four designs for each wave of the japanese release (making 8), but numerous designs for global releases

prefer the white lettering to the spaceship color

when setting the time, reminded of traditional alarm clocks; the a button sets hours and b minutes (c finishes the selection)

the sound is pleasant compared to the chibi

the size and proportions of this p2, and by extension all p1 and p2 models, differs from the connection and plus releases in that the former are smaller and the buttons jut out less/are more recessed (half-full, half-empty deal)

my earpiece makeshift cover used for the connection fit loosely, while my mini cover (loose on it) fit snugly around the vintage without tearing

is the devil smaller than the angel? is the angel smaller or larger than the p2? common comparison, group, and collection photos are typically of low quality

it'll probably be easy for me to obtain my favorite characters from this release; all desirable characters range from average to perfect care, which is easy enough to consistently reproduce

what a watch

wanna open it to change the background paper, but at the same time I don't

not because of damage or dust, but because the paper (however off-center) seems to be a part of what the toy is

can't just rush and change things however I like--I'd realize too late that the mediocre swirly design is as important to the identity of the toy as the mechanics within

meh, early nostalgia, maybe

perfect care is a must for "perfect care characters"

apparently, no; one care miss on a modern release (plus, connection, et cetera) still yields the characters that supposedly require an absolutely spotless record of care mistakes to obtain

you might be thinking, "how would Pauly come to that conclusion? could it be possible that she made a booboo, having a care mistake prior to the evolution into adolescence (which would have no effect on the overall growth pattern of her characters) and considered it relevant?"

nah, I considered that and tried a care miss on a teen

the vintages might be different. planning on trying just one care miss in the teen stage (which I should be hitting within the next couple of hours, if memory serves me correctly). if I get a mimitchi, whoops, it's more complicated than a single blemish. if a nyatchi results, coolio; onto the next care level below (the care level that results in the character that yields this version's special character--which also supposedly requires perfect care to obtain, after the former's initial evolution into adulthood).

from the ebay listing

defects in the paint  noticeable on the seven and to the lower right of the display. brushed two off when I removed the packaging, but the big streak remains. think I'll poke at it later

I'm just sitting here at a place

three discipline events on the first day, and one on the next (today).

after each evolution, discipline is halved

the teen characters don't pace around like adults, children, and babies

got a mimitchi. noooooooooooooooooooo I've been trying to see if care misses from failure to turn off the lights once is change enough to get the next lower level of adult character

nooooooooooooooope

read from a few sources that character growth depends on the amount of discipline

I'll try that now *resets*

「ぎんじろっち…まるっちでしつけ100%、たまっちでしつけ75%まで。 おなかの見逃しなし。ごきげんは、約7時間のおかしとゲーム禁止の一回まで。」

From what I got: for Ginjirotchi (which corresponds to Nyatchi, the next care level), I should get traning to 100% with Marutchi (corresponding to Tonmarutchi) and 75% with Tamatchi (corresponding to Tongaritchi); hunger should not be missed; should stop playing games for about seven hours without any sweets

Okay, now I can form a plan

  • give perfect care to the toddler
  • then train one time as a teen
  • and get called for attention on the happiness once

ordered ten headphone covers without really thinking about the size

oops *orders a correct size*

well, these big ones make nice screen covers for the ones with covers already on

hilarious

thinking about artificially but lazily lengthening the lifespan of my nyatchi by turning the clock to set at night
