Ok, is it just me or are there not as many Tamatalkers? I remember like a year or two ago when I would go on Tamatalk and there would be tons of people. I might just be paranoid but now I feel like Tamatalk is lonley ~_~ Whatta ya guys think?

Well, you're right. there aren't as many as there were a year or two ago. Maybe they have different interests, a job, or go to school and don't have as much time as they did in the past. It's a shame really, but people and their circumstances change. Fact of life.

TamaTalk is probably the most populated Tamagotchi froum, The one of two that are still running like normal... At least there are still members unlike several smaller forums that are now extinct.

I've been around since 2006, a while after my 7th birthday, and I've seen the numbers dwindle since then.

People grow older. Their interests change. Some people might have been involved in drama, which might have effected their mental, emotional or physical well-being - no matter what 'side' they were on (and don't brush drama off as something that can't affect people that badly, because it can, and will get rather intense) this website might have had consequences on people's school, work or social life.

Those are some reasons that I can think of. I'll agree this place is smaller than it used to be, friendship groups developed and change, likes, dislikes, the lot. But I personally think the community is nice and peaceful, and a lot better than how it used to be. (Especially for me, mental health wise)

I was here in 2006 as well (on a different account). Although I haven't been around for all the years since then to see it change gradually. For me, when I decided to come back last year, it was a sudden shock to me.

I don't mind it though. People are still around. In some ways, it's nice how it's not quite so frantic here, especially compared to other websites and social media (as Pauly said, it's calm). Maybe things were more exciting then, but hey. We have to appreciate what we have. ^_^

The only way it could change back would be if tamagotchis suddenly became really popular again...

I was an enthusiast in 2009 (I don't remember exactly, I was little back then, all I know), left for a few years, and look at me now. Back to the Tamagotchi.

Never really knew this site existed until November of 2014 when TamaTalk entered my life.

I'm kinda late, but that doesn't bother me. Not like this is a barren wasteland. It's not a rowdy place, but also not a barren wasteland. Kind of like Team Fortress Classic and Counter-Strike: Source (In my area, at least)

I'm active on the site often, I've made some friends here. Really, I like it here, no hate on me, I feel... respected.

Anyways,

We're not dead, just less active...

Yeah there are less but I don't mind. :) We don't need tons of members to have a good forum ^_^ We are a close-knit community. Trust me, super active forums can sometimes be no fun at all...

Yep! I was here a lot back in 2006 and 7, there were tons of users back then, but now it feels kind of empty.

With less English releases, I think Tamagotchi has dwindled in popularity worldwide except for the dedicated people willing to buy from Japan. People who got into Tamas back in 1997 and more recently with the Connection versions may have moved on by now, though I'm surprised we didn't get more new people with the TF release than we did.

I am new here, but not to tamagotchis. I hope to make some friends and get some good advice as well. So you can add one more to the list! ^,^

There did seem to be much more activity, especially in TamaChat, when I first joined. Quite a few have left, though not all of them were Tama fans... There are of course still members who visit frequently. It's a little quieter than before, but also more peaceful. :3

Yeah, you guys are right. Not a lot of hate anymore, and we're all pretty close ^-^ But MAN am I glad I found out about the Japanese ones... I can't imagine not having heard of a colored Tama ;n; (No offense to MadamUnicorn, though, 'cause she's already heard of them :3)

Yes and I must have one! I just don't know which to get first.

I like it here. Like many others have said; of the people who came here when the great tamagotchi waves washed over the world, the ones who are left now are older and more mature than when they came. I see more mature and focused discussions, and a more evenly divided age span between members, which is nice. Less people messing around, and an openness for all kinds of people.
