I've noticed a distinct blue border on Uratama glass display and a red one on Akai. Other monochrome models show a black border. Does the display itself, the hardware, determine the apparent color of the pixels?
I ask because I've seen references to conversations that led to the conclusion that this is not the case; after swapping out from a monochrome red Tamagotchi for black, for example, red will still be displayed.
