Hi! I was thinking about getting a Tamagotchi 4U soon. I know that there's an app that allows you to get bonus material but unfortunately I have an iPhone not an Android, so I would be unable to get the app working. I was just wondering if in other people's opinions the 4U is still worth getting, even without the option of bonus material. I've avoided similar Tamagotchis because I've been afraid it's not worth it.

Thank you!

Well, I don't have a 4U myself, but I've read people's opinions on them and my boyfriend just got one, and I can openly say that if you don't hava a compatible android device is definetly not worth it.

the 4U has really cool features but it also has really few content, and as a result of that it gets boring after a while, the 4U basically forces you to get bonus content to enjoy it, and even some people in Japan that can fully enjoy still belive is not match for the previous releases xD

If you are looking for something similar you would rather go for the iD L or the P's, they have enough built in content by themselves, and finding an irdA device to get bonuses is really cheap, unlike the 4U where you'd have to spend 200$ to get the right tablet to use it xD

Ah okay thank you! I was worried it wasn't worth the price without the bonus content. I'll look into those other Tamagotchis, thank you. ^_^

Nah, it's the same price as versions that have a lot more to them (iD L, P's, etc)

I personally like my 4U without the bonus content but if you don't have other color Tamagotchis yet, you're better off getting one of those

I have the Tamagotchi + Colour but that's the only colour Tamagotchi I have. The Tamagotchi iD L looks nice and I remember being interested in it when it first came out so I might look into that one. Thank you! ;)

Honestly I would say the 4U is worth it (I got it for pretty cheap tho).

I recently only just got one but I've been enjoying it so far.

But I would say I would start with getting a P first, it really has a lot more content in the default tamagotchi and downloadable content is a lot easier to get too.

A problem with the 4U is if you don't have a device that isn't compatible with it, your gonna get bored of it pretty fast, luckly I had one so it wasn't too much of a problem for me.
(The cheapest device compatible with it is around £120 sadly)

So in the end, I would say its worth it ''IF'' (and this is a big if), you have a compatible device that will work with it.

I was interested in the 4U because I've heard it's relatively low maintenance... and that's good for me because I'm busy with work and school right now. I was actually thinking about getting the Nexus 7 tablet before I knew it was compatible with the 4U, so I think I'll just get the tablet and the Tamagotchi. ^_^

Did you get your 4U from eBay? I need to find a reliable seller still. :p
